Do I need a visa and to fill in a Customs Declaration form?
Yes and yes.

You can buy a Visa on Arrival (VOA) valid for 30 days at the airport (if you are not an Australian citizen just check that your country is valid for a VOA: https://indonesianembassy.de/visa-on-arrival-voa/

To save time, you can also organise your VOA before you fly: https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/

You can also fill in your Customs Declaration at the airport, but it will save you time to do it online before flying (you can only submit the form online 4 or less days before flying): https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/
What airport do I fly into, and what time should I book my flights?
I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (airport code when booking flights is DPS).

Depending on traffic, Ananda Ubud Resort is 1 to 2 hours from Denpasar International Airport. If you are arriving to Bali on June 28, please make sure your flight arrives in plenty of time to make your way to Ananda Ubud Resort by 2pm at the very latest. Retreat start time is 2.30pm.
How to arrive to Ananda Ubud Resort & what does a taxi cost?
The easiest and most reliable way to arrive to Ananda Ubud Resort from the airport is to book a taxi or a driver. The trip will be around 500,000 IDR/ AUD50 per car.

- If a driver is booked with the hotel, this can be charged to your room.

- If booked with an outside service, you can pay the driver directly in cash - Indonesian Rupiah.

If you would like Live In Flow help you with this, please email us: [email protected] and we will send you contact details.
How do I access cash and a local SIM card for my mobile phone?
After coming out of customs at the airport, before meeting your driver, there are currency exchange desks as well as ATMs. It's recommended to change some money at the airport or withdraw Indonesia Rupiah from an ATM - that way you have cash to pay for your driver, and buy a SIM card if you want to.

After the ATM booths there are SIM card booths.

If you want a local number and a data plan, it's easy to buy a SIM card at the airport, and they will put it in your phone and set it up for you. With XL you pay around 350,000 IDR / AUD35 for 25 gigs of data.

Wise seems to be the best currency exchange service. If you create an account in Australia they will post you an ATM card to use whilst overseas, and you can download their app to transfer funds from AUD to IDR: https://wise.com

I'm nervous about travelling alone & sharing a room with a stranger. Any advice?
The Balinese people are some of the friendliest in the world. And most speak English now. As long as you have a driver booked from the airport to your accommodation, arriving into Bali is easy.

PLUS... We highly recommend you take up our bonus 3 month membership offer for $1. You will be able to able get to know your fellow retreat participants, and quickly realise you are not alone.
